“Holly House” - Comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bath Carmel-by-the-Sea home in a quiet location. Through the arched entry gate, walk into a lovely traditional home filled with light and soothing neutrals. Beautiful, cathedral ceiling living room with sitting area facing the gas-log fireplace and ornate focal point mantel. Plenty of windows, built-in cabinets, and French doors lead to a small deck with ocean views. The kitchen is light and bright, with a cozy breakfast nook and access to a quaint patio. The primary bedroom boasts a high, 4-poster queen bed with a step stool, French doors leading to a patio, walk-in closet & bath with shower, double sinks & marble vanity. The guest bedroom has a double bed, and the second bath has tile tub/shower with jets. A stacked washer/dryer is located in the hall closet. Street parking (garage not usable--owner's storage).  NO PETS.  NO SMOKING. 30 NIGHT MINIMUM.  PROPERTY CODE:  VERMS

  This was our 2nd August to stay at Holly House. We love the cottage, but it needs some minor repairs and upgrades, such as beds, garbage diposal, replacement of flooring in master bath, and gate latches. Was disappointed that San Carlos agent did not contact us two weeks after leaving the property as she had promised to let us know its availability for next August. We still have a $1000 security deposit with San Carlose, and have yet received a call.

  This is a lovely home that worked well for us. This was our second stay there. San Carlos is great to work with and I would not use anyone else in the Carmel/Monterey peninsula area.

  We had a great stay in this place. It's a very convenient and quiet place. You can walk to downtown in 10 minutes and the beach 20 minutes. No need to drive most of the time unless out of town. The place is very clean and nicely furnished. The only thing is the bed is a bit too high to climb on to and we did not let our child sleep on the tall bed afraid he is going to hurt himself rolling off bed. The other improvement can be done is the Gardner only come maybe once every two weeks, so the patio area and entrance is constantly having falling leaves and the patio furniture is very dirty too.
