“Whit’s End” - Single level 2 bedroom, 2 bath home near Mission Ranch with fully fenced yard and abundant gardens. Enter into a large, welcoming living room with open beam ceilings, wood burning fire place and plenty of seating with 2 couches, plus arm chairs, TV, DVD, stereo, and a built in desk / shelving unit. Dining area is off living room with table seating for 4 surrounded with windows looking out to garden. Galley kitchen is assessed from the dining area, and features an electric range, dishwasher, disposal & microwave. The door off the kitchen leads out to the expansive brick patio. Patio and gardens are fully enclosed and set up perfectly for easy barbecuing, or enjoying a warm cup of coffee in the sun. Both bedrooms are accessed from the hallway off the living room. Primary bedroom has a king bed and bathroom with a shower stall. Washer & dryer are conveniently located in the master bathroom as well. Guest bedroom has a queen bed, with guest bathroom off the hall (tub/shower). Walk to town and beach. Wi-Fi.  Elongated carport, plus parking in driveway.  Pet considered.   We have stayed in this house at least 4 times. It is a lovely Carmel “cottage” style with a lovely garden populated with live oaks and lilies. It’s in a great location across the street from the Mission Ranch and walking distance to the River and Carmel Beaches.

  “Whit’s End” was the perfect spot for the week that my husband and I and our dog, Murphy, were in Carmel. The spacious living room was charming and comfortably furnished, with plenty of seating. Both bedrooms were attractive and had great beds! Although small, the kitchen had everything we needed. Murphy loved sniffing around in the fenced yard. The location was perfect for us...close enough to walk to the beach or town, but far enough away to avoid traffic and noise. Plus, being right across the street from Mission Ranch made it easy to enjoy happy hour on their deck, watching the sheep in the meadow by Carmel River.

  We rented the home for 5 weeks from mid-november until just before Christmas. It was a beautiful time of year in Carmel. We loved the close to everything location. It was the perfect place for what we wanted - a place to lay on the couch and watch the fire in the fireplace and read a book or just take a nap. I hope to go back soon.

  We have stayed at Whits End at least 4 times. It is, and continues to be, one of our favorite rental homes. This visit we were very pleased to notice the updates to make our visit very comfortable. The kitchen appliances and furnishings have been updated and are very nice. The cabinets are still dated but do not interfere with the function of the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms attractive. The living area was updated and very comfortable for our needs. We had wonderful dinners out ; mission Ranch and Rio Grill in the Crossroads and Bistro Moulin, Fandango in Monterey/ Pacific Grove. Carmel looks beautiful with the sidewalk eating and the flower boxes overflowing. Whitt’s End and Carmel are a perfect get away combination.

  Wonderful five week stay. The location is very quiet despite being across the street from an elementary school. Less than 10 minute walk to either Carmel River Beach or Carmel Beach. Easy access to shopping. A bit rustic interior, outdoor lighting needs improvement but overall a delightful rustic cottage. Looking forward to a return visit.
