Cute 2 bedroom (queen, twins), 2 bath Tudor-style cottage in Carmel Point. The large living room has vaulted ceilings and white walls for a spacious feeling; sofa & chairs, brick gas log fireplace flanked by bookshelves, TV, and two writing desks. Up two steps you will find the dining area seating 6 and a cozy but well-organized kitchen with an electric range, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker, & corner sink. Up the stairs is a loft with another seating area and small deck. Off the living room, both bedrooms open to a larger deck to enjoy morning sunshine. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, ample storage space, TV and en suite bathroom with a shower. The guest bedroom has twin beds and and en suite bathroom with tub/shower. Washer/dryer located off kitchen. Single carport plus space for car in driveway & plenty of street parking.   Sweet old fashioned small cottage/house, comfortably furnished and perfect for 2 or possibly 3 people. Great location near Mission Ranch and river beach; also walk 25-30min to town. Downsides are no views and original old bathrooms/kitchen yet all functional. Quiet.

  This is the place you want to stay when you come to Carmel. It has everything. . . full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, a five minute walk to a mainly uninhabited and breathtaking beach and quiet as can be. The house is recessed from the street so the privacy is total. We've stayed there three years now and it's become a true home away from home.

Beautifully furnished with comfortable upholstery; lots of interesting books and wall paintings. Great Carmel experience from those earlier days.   This house is an authentic Carmel experience in a small older vacation home filled with period furniture and original architectural features. It's retro feeling brings you back to an easier time, perfect for an extended vacation. Short walks to beautiful vistas and paths at any time of day. Safe, lovely, quiet. Bathrooms are dated but clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Linens/towels abundant and clean. Can't beat the outstanding location near Scenic Road, Mission Ranch and 15-min brisk walk to Ocean Avenue.

  This was our annual visit to Car Week. Lori was great in the wake of Janna's retirement. We did discover some nats in both bathrooms. We sprayed bug killer and they were gone. We really enjoy the place. Worked out great as usual.

  We can't say enough good things about the Hoagland Home. The cottage is situated off the street, so the privacy is pristine. It was clean as a whistle inside and had every pot, pan, utensil one could need. It's a block and a half from the bluff overlooking a sparsely populated beach. It's walking distance from The Mission and The Tor House. The beds are comfortable and the appliances all work wonderfully. We are hoping to rent it again next year and for many years to come. We've been renting in Carmel for 7 years and this is, by far, the best place we've found. A true gem.

  We enjoyed our stay at the Hoagland property very much. It was in an ideal location to take a quick walk every day to get to the the street along the coastline and to see the beautiful Carmel River beach panorama with the mountains as a backdrop. The front garden is charming and the house has that Carmel appeal. There are some aspects that could use some updating, particularly kitchen and baths. It was still very cosy though-
